Craig Curtis was born in 1971 and was raised in the inland expanses of
rolling hills and gusting winds of Southern California.  Two half-sisters
preceded Craig into the world, though one he has never met and the other
left home at an early age.  During his childhood, an unlikely friend first
exposed him to Dungeons and Dragons, which sparked his love for the sci-fi
genre.
Craig attained his education through the public school system, and although
he never completed college, his love of computers, keen mind, and hard
work propelled him through the professional world.  Although not interested
in novels, as reading was not one of his strengths, he collected and
absorbed a virtual mountain of comic books into his early twenties.  The
Harry Potter series, however, gave him enough incentive to test the waters
of audio books.  It wasn't long before whole volumes fell on his ears.  He
favored authors, including J.K. Rowling (obviously), Stephanie Meyer, David
& Leigh Eddings, Peter S. Beagle, Ursula Le Guin, Christopher Paolini,
Robert Jordan, Maraget Weis, and Tracy & Laura Hickman.
An avid movie lover since the original release of Star Wars, Craig enjoys a
wide range of beloved films: old and new, comedy and drama, fantasy and
science fiction.  Some notable favorites include The Matrix and Lord of the
Rings trilogies, Ice Castles, Princess Bride, and of course Star Wars.  Craig
keeps his vistas wide in other media as well.  Though not particularly
rhythmic nor musically talented himself, he enjoys a wide variety of music as
a listener.  Unlike some, who strap themselves to a decade or two of music,
he continually adds new music to his catalog.
Always the consummate dreamer, Craig has worked on several of
uncompleted role-playing games and has written a number of short stories,
long lost to hard drive crashes.  He particularly enjoys the camaraderie of
working in a team, but often his passion for the creative process outpaces
the stamina of his friends and even himself.  “Real life” is often a huge
deterrent in the completion of his creative endeavors; at least he uses it as
a good scapegoat.
Craig still lives in Southern California, now with his wife, three children, and
three dogs.  He works as an analyst, but still dabbles in his dreams, as you
will surely find within these pages.
