| These are actually quotes describing a television show called "Gossip Girl", rather than the book that this website is about but now that I have your attention... In this world, there is another world that exists without the knowledge of you or I. It is not hidden exactly, but exists without regard to us. The creatures, the magic wielding filth, that thrive on our ignorance walk amongst us but we are beneath their notice. They are Mages and only our shear numbers have keep them in secrecy but it has also reduced the value of our lives to them. They wipe us from the Earth by ones and twos, in small groups, whenever convenient as if we are no threat.
